Hastings+Chivetta looks forward to the opportunities that 2020 will bring, and reflects with gratitude on the firm’s growth in 2019. We’re especially thankful for the recent addition of four new employees to the H+C team.
Kitty Fornkahl, AIA, LEED-AP BD+C joins our architectural team as a Project Architect, currently focusing on the Principia Field House project. The Rice University graduate is also a part of AIA St. Louis Women in Architecture’s Communications Committee. Kitty is a lifelong Cardinals fan and proud St. Louisan, citing the beauty of St. Louis’ built landscape as her inspiration to pursue architecture. The multi-talented Cor Jesu Academy alumna also has a penchant for the performing arts: outside of work, Kitty plays the piano and loves to perform in musicals.
Joseph McKinney joins our architectural team as a Junior Architectural Designer, assisting with the design and development of various firm projects. Joseph received his Bachelor of Architectural Studies from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and his Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado-Denver. The Greater St. Louis Area native is currently working on projects for Saint Louis University and University of Evansville. Joseph’s interest in architecture started at a young age – he spent his childhood around construction, and still loves to build things outside of work, too. His favorite hobby is woodworking, and he is inspired by great design in all forms.
Mattie Radke Rogers joins our graphics team as a Junior Architectural Designer, developing graphics for client presentations. Mattie is an Associate member of the AIA who received her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and her Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois. Mattie discovered a talent for both math and art as a child, and pursued architecture so she could have a career that married the creative aspect of design with the knowledge and technical execution of building. Outside of work, Mattie enjoys photography, cooking, and baking, and lives by the motto “While you can’t always control what life throws at you, you can control how you react to it.”
Shanney Rudd joins our administrative team as an Accountant, supporting the firm’s financial vitality by handling expense reports, state registrations, and accounts payable, bank, and account recommendations. Shanney’s love for numbers inspired her to become an accountant, and she received her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University. Outside of work, Shanney loves decorating and is talented at sewing. She is always inspired by a challenge, and her life’s motto is “Don’t tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon.”
Hastings+Chivetta is proud to welcome Kitty, Joseph, Mattie, and Shanney to our team. The addition of these talented individuals supports our mission to create one-of-a-kind places that shape a campus’ life, advance its mission, and influence its evolution.
