Aquatics in The Timbers Recreation Center

The Timbers Recreation Center features a uniquely designed 6,500 sf leisure pool, which stakeholders identified as a top priority for the family-friendly facility.  The leisure pool is comprised of two levels connected by an innovative waterfall feature.  The upper level pool is home to three fitness lap lanes, a 1-meter diving board, and a water volleyball net.  It is accessible to all through both traditional entry stairs and an ADA pool lift.  The lower level pool is conducive to family play, featuring a tot area outfitted with a house-themed play structure and various spray features.  Adults can easily supervise their children in comfort while enjoying the convenient bench seating in the pool.  The lazy river and two-story slide have become family favorites The Timbers.  A wet party room directly off the pool deck provides easy access to the pool space for birthday parties and special events.

This intergenerational, family-based facility that features a variety of other multi-use and flexible spaces that fulfill various community needs.  The multipurpose gymnasium features a full-size court with two cross courts.  It can be utilized for a variety of sports and special events. The 4,000 sf fitness center includes cardio and strength equipment. Another 4,000 sf is dedicated to meeting room/gathering space to host large parties, lectures and other events. The flexible space can be divided into two rooms and has direct access to a full kitchen, pantry and storage. Other spaces include a group exercise room, lounge space, multipurpose room, childcare room, concession stand, locker rooms with saunas, and Parks and Recreation offices. The property also includes a pond, which is planned for fishing.
