New Field House
The Community School of Naples needed an additional athletic facility to support the growing program needs of their students. Their commitment to developing the whole child includes an emphasis on health and wellness, life sports, and physical fitness. Hastings+Chivetta was hired to design a field house for team and competitive sports as well as appropriate space for physical education classes.
Features of the two-level, 50,000 SF field house include:
- a three-court gymnasium allowing for multiple simultaneous functions
- spectator seating for 900
- a state-of-the-art wellness and fitness center
- a climbing wall
- more than 200 student lockers
- athletic administration areas
- hardwood floors
- a lobby and concession area
- restrooms separate from the locker rooms
- visitors’ locker areas
- reception and events facilities
