This website offers a fascinating look at 10 buildings that helped to shape the American architectural landscape: http://interactive.wttw.com/tenbuildings.  It features the Wainwright Building, one of the first skyscrapers in the world, completed in 1891.  Hastings+Chivetta, in association with Mitchell/Giurgola Architects, was honored to be selected through a national competition to complete an award-winning historic renovation and expansion of this important building in 1975.  Check out the website for an in-depth and informative look at all 10 projects as well as 10 trends that may shape the future built environment.
